I like to equate witches to scientists. Witchcraft – to me – has always been about experimenting, observing what I can of the inner and outer worlds, and sharing it with my peers. Each spell or ritual is its own creation detailing what reactions need to occur to create the result we desire. If it works, we try it again. And again. We experiment and fine tune the unseen formula until we can make sense of what is happening, and apply it to new experiments.

We have our own tools, materials, and “lab” of sorts in our sacred space. I love the parallels, and what better field of science to be in than one that has yet to be fully explored, understood, and shared?
